American Sign Language Fingerspelling Interpretation[ ]


The ASL (American Sign Language) Fingerspelling Interpreter is a system based on Image Processing Techniques where an image of hand gesture is captured and corresponding alphabet is displayed on the screen. A dataset is made which stores the hand gestures for each alphabet. The captured images are processed using MATLAB codes. Morphological operations are used to extract features of hand gestures. The features extracted are used to match the captured image with the image stored in the dataset and finally display the results.

DESIGN & DEVELOPMENT OF SMART TERRAIN WHEELCHAIR FOR THE HANDICAPPED[ ]


Limited mobility is something that affects approximately 7.6 million Indians. Approximately 1.2 million are using wheelchairs or scooters of some kind to enhance mobility. Everyday obstacles present a challenge to those in a wheelchair. Also, outdoor environments such as farms, picnic spots, off-roading or even grass fields provide additional challenges for those with limited mobility. This project helps us to provide a solution the limitations faced by those using wheelchairs.The wheels and tires of the wheelchair allow navigation through most terrains such as grass, gravel, and sand, but in some cases the wheels get stuck in muddy as well as rocky terrain, so we have come up with a new concept of adding tracks to the wheelchair in-spite of just wheels. Because of adding tracks the wheelchair cannot just drive through any terrain, but can also climb stairs. The chair has the ability to level at up to 45 degrees and can provide a manual lift of 6 inches.

Design and Implementation of Li-Fi System[ ]


Li-Fi (Light Fidelity) is a recent and promising technology which is used for short range, high speed, wireless data transmission. Li-Fi is a part of the VLC (Visible Light Communication) as it is implemented using white LEDs. In this project inexpensive transmitter and receiver is designed using VLC system. The performance evaluation is done under the effect of natural and artificial ambient light noise sources. Also, the effect of transmission distance with respect to optical power, photo sensitivity and correct reception of data will be investigated. The transmission and reception will be done using ASK (Amplitude Shift Keying) modulation and demodulation techniques respectively. The rapid change of intensity of light due modulation cannot be recognized by human eyes. The rate at which the intensity of the LEDs change should be proportional to the sensitivity of the photodetector. Transmission of voice and data signals can also be done using this technology.

Detecting Data Leaks via SQL Injection Prevention on an E-Commerce[ ]


In this paper an attempt has been made to develop an online shop that allows users to check for different cloths for women’s available at the online store and can purchase cloths online. The project consists of list of cloths displayed in various materials and designs. The user may browse through these products as per categories. If the user likes a product, he/she can add it to his/her shopping cart. Once user wishes to checkout he must register on the site first. Once the user makesa successful transaction admin will get report of his bought products. The objective of this project is to develop a secure path for transaction done by the user. Using AES (Advanced Encryption Standard) encryption technique, the transaction and user account details can be made secured. AES encryption is also used to encrypt the user’s card and password information while transaction.

Detection of N,P,K Fertilizers in Agricultural Soil[ ]


Soil is a complex medium that contains minerals,organic matter, micro-organisms, air and water. Recent studies have shown that soil fertility is declining in many farmlands due to insufficient fertilization. Over-fertilization results in groundwater pollution or toxic accumulation of chemicals in the soil. The aim of this experiment is to adjust fertilization based on crop needs and soil properties and to reduce the amount of fertilizer in soil without diminishing yield. The soil analysis technique focus on photon absorption characteristics of the major soil nutrients (nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium). The soil samples under test were first oven dried and and then mixed with four types of fertilizer [KNO3, TSP, 𝐍𝐇𝟒 𝟐𝐒𝐎𝟒, NPK] in the concentration range of 0.02-10%. Near IR laser beam pass through the closed loop Mach- Zander Interferometer to reduce fluctuations related to beam path and interacts with soil sample. When IR radiations are focused onto a sample, the molecules in the sample will increase their vibration energy by absorbing energy at specific frequencies depending on the molecular geometry, bond strengths and atomic masses. The scattered beam is thus modified, creating a signature of the targeted object with peaks at the absorbing frequencies. This technique provided rapid, non-destructive and simultaneous determination of nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium concentrations in soil fertilizer mixtures.

Determination of Blood group using Image[ ]


Blood group determination is done before a blood transfusion in emergency situations or while checking blood group of a person for donation. It is a fast and easy way to ensure that you receive the right kind of blood during surgery or after an injury. If you are given incompatible blood, it can be fatal resulting in agglutination. Hence, before the blood transfusion it becomes necessary to perform certain tests. Determining blood group is one of the tests before transfusing the blood during emergency situations. Microscopy has intermittently proved inefficient since it is time consuming and also the results are difficult to reproduce. Also, experts are needed. Due to these reasons, automation of evaluation process is of high importance.Based on the processing of digital images acquired during the slide test, a software is developed in image processing to determine the blood group during emergency situations without any error. The images obtained are then processed, occurrence of blood clumping is checked and accordingly the blood group is determined. Thus, using image processing techniques, this developed automated method will be useful in determining the blood group

Development Of Cam Mechanism For Notch Cutting By Using Electrode Arc[ ]


In some Cases,where cylindrical objects are used, some places require a proper notch so that welding at that place is per-fectly done.To get a perfect notch different machines are used,in some machines, operations are done by using plasma,but here we have tried to reduce the cost of plasma cutting by using an electrode arc for the cutting/notching. Vee notches in tube, particularly square tube, may be cut so deep as to cut almost through the tube: three sides of a square tube. This then allows torner, usually finished by welding.

DIGITRONIC DISPLAY INTERFACE[ ]


Anythingwritten on a non-interactive screen using a special pen built in this project is seen on the laptop screen via the projector. Thus converting any non-interactive ordinary surface into a touch screen device. DDI works on the principle of the Infrared technology which is the current technology prevailing. An Infrared sensor, Infrared LED and a projector are the basic must needed components for the DDI. The Infrared Communication between the sensorand infrared LED is the basic principle of the working. This project makes use of components available in our surrounding and is therefore low on cost technology and yet an efficient one. Use of TV remote, Wii remote as sensors ensured efficient output.

DR NOPRICK[ ]


Examination of blood in order to obtain accurate values of blood glucose and hemoglobin has always involved removal of blood from the human body via painful methods such as pricking through needles etc which is a nightmare for children and adults alike. Our project aims to design a non-invasive technology to measure these parameters with accuracy and immediately. This is not only a cost effective and least painful but also a boon in emergencies. The fundamental principle behind this is photoplethysmography.The fiber optics plays a important role in electronic communication as well as in biomedical operations. The concatenation ofphotoplethysmography along with optical fiber is the basic working model of the project. The finger tip of a human subject will be subjected to illumination by laser/infrared sources, the corresponding absorption of light by the blood cells takes place and the unabsorbed light is obtained at the photodiode on the other end. The statistical analysis of the results after due amplification and filteration, gives us the corresponding hemoglobin and blood glucose levels.

EMAIL SPAM FILTERING USING DECISION TREE ALGORITHM[ ]


E-mails have become the best way to communicate formal documents over the Internet among users. But many people have started sending unwanted mails to others also called as email spam. Many email spam messages are commercial in nature but may also contain disguised links that appear to be for familiar websites but in fact lead to phishing web sites or sites that are hosting malware. Spam email sometimesinclude malware or viruses or any other other executable file attachments which are very risky and can cause serious threats to one’s system.Several spam filtering systems exist in real world to filter spam mails like Blacklisting, Signature based System. In Blacklisting, received mail is checked by a mail server IP address against a poolof email blacklist. So if anyone’s mail server has been blacklisted then his/her mail will not be forwarded. The disadvantage in this system is that it leads to high false negative rate which makes them unreliable. Signature based system compares any incoming mail to a known spam by computing its signature. But it is veryinefficient since it catches only 60-70% of spam mails. To handle all the above mentioned limitations we are using ID3 algorithm. The ID3 algorithm is based on the Decision tree algorithm. ID3 is a non-incremental algorithm used to build a decision tree from a fixed set of observations (in our case, Enron dataset). The resulting tree is used to classify test observations. Each observation is represented by features or attributes and a class to which it belongs. ID3 uses information gain measure to select decision node. Information gain indicates the ability of a given attribute to separate training examples into classes. Higher the information gain, higher is the ability of the attribute to separatetraining observation. Information gain uses entropy as a measure to calculate the amount of uncertainty in dataset.

Emotion & Heartbeat Detection using Image Processing[ ]


Detecting emotions with the help of simple webcam could be beneficial to sensitive populations and the ability to calculate heartrateusing a simple webcam or phone camera could be useful in telemedicine.Emotions are one important aspect of human life. Emotions define us, allow us to express ourselves, and react to the outside world’s events. They are fundamental to the human experience, influencing our everyday tasks such as learning, communicating and rational decision making.Happiness, anger, excitement, surprise, among other emotions motivate certain actions and enrich human experience. Heart rate, measured in beats per minute (BPM), can be used as an index of an individual’s physiological state. Each time the heart beats, blood is expelled and travels through the body. This blood flow can be detected on the face using a standard webcam that is able to pick up subtle changes in colorand movementthat cannot be seen by the naked eye. Due to the light absorption spectrum of blood, we are able to detect differences in the amount of light absorbed by the blood traveling just below the skin (i.e., photoplethysmography).Emotions can be detected by using haar cascadesfor face detection, feature extraction from ROI and then processing it.OpenCV and Python has been used for human computer interaction.For the detection of heartbeat, we use remote photoplethmysography.This paper discusses the reimplementation of one such approach that uses independent component analysis on mean pixel color values within a region of interest (ROI) about the face.

Explorer Bot with Artificial Intelligence[ ]


There are numerous places that man cannot reach. Certain tasks that a human cannot perform. Surveillance needs to be done in the quiet without any observer being detected. It proves to be a challenging task for the security forces as well as surveillance teams to monitor many locations with a single camera. Further more if the camera is detected by an intruder it could be a difficult task to maintain proof ofthe incident occurred. The Explorer uses modern technology and robotics to solve such problems. The stable and wheeled chassis allows the explorer bot to be controlled by the user. The camera mounted on the explorer allows the user to get 360-degree view of the surrounding. The 10000kv Taser is capable to stun any person or animal intending to fiddle with the bot.The trending VR technology allows the user to get a gaming experience while the AI technology helps in hands free controlling of the defence mechanism.

Fingerprint based Classroom Attendance System[ ]


The main purpose of this project is to solve the problem of existing attendance system.In today's worldproper database of recording attendance as well as management is an important aspect.Many of the universities and organisation in developing countries like India make use of pen and paper for attendance.As well as for keeping record we use files and registers,due to this manual process records keep on stacking up,so this method should be replaced by easily available biometric systems.As uniqueness of fingerprint of every person make this attendance system ideal and environment friendly.The currently available systems are using Arduino, raspberry pi, RFID,barcode scanner,etc.So fingerprint based attendance system will be developed which will be used for recording the attendance of students more efficiently and effectively through fingerprint scanningand also it will be used to update the attendance of students throughout the semester.The purposeisto carry out this system and to overcome this current problems in available attendance system.

Grain Detection Using Image Processing[ ]


In the present grain-identification and detection system type of grain and grain quality are identified manually by visual inspection which is difficult and not accurate. In this paper we are focusing about the methods used for detection of grain. An machine vision system is introduced which is used for grain type identification and differentiate different type of grains based on special features (color,geometrical) as attributes for classification. The grading of rice sample is done according to the size ,shape and texture of the grain .A good classification accuracy is achieved using only 6 features, i.e. mean of RGB colors and 3 geometrical features. Also image Pre-processing, Feature extraction, Image Acquisition, Filtering, Binarization, Morphological operation and segmentation are going to be perform to differentiate the grain.

Human Recognition System using Ear biometrics[ ]


Automatic person identification becomes essential in surveillance systems. A class of biometrics based on ear detection and recognition is used in a passive identification system. The main goal is to identify a person using ear. We have used Principal Component Analysis (PCA) algorithm which is implemented in MATLAB. The above algorithm is tested on 2-D images and compared with the database of images being created.

Image Rendering Using Drone[ ]


With the recent development in Drone the applications of the Drone has increased multi-fold. However, the scope of this project ad-dresses the applications particularly in the area of search and rescue, surveillance and monitoring in Archaeology, Architecture, Agriculture, For-estry, Emergency and Traffic Management. To achieve the desired application, we have developed an autonomous Drone which can navigate through a pre-determined GPS co-ordinates programmed into the Raspberry Pi module and executed through the flight controller. We then con-nected a Pi camera to the Raspberry Pi which takes the images, stores it in the Home directory of Pi and the images are then accessed from Ground Station (Mobile/Laptop) via FTP server enabled on the Pi and Wi-Fi adapter. We then use those images to construct a model using vari-ous Image Rendering softwares like Auto Desk Recap 360.

Image Text to Speech Conversion Using OCR Technique in Raspberry PI[ ]


Raspberry Pi is a single board, high performance computer. We areusing this system to extract text from a document and convertit to audio for the use of visually impaired persons. This project is a case study of the IoT(Internet of Things) based integrated indoor and outdoor applications. The indoor applications consisting of IPTV and Local Area Network will be implemented using 4G module. The Outdoor applications consisting of Smart Card based Toll System which features Pollution control and RFID based Vehicle tracking as well as Garbage monitoring system. Interactive Scene Analysis[ ]


It is very difficult for the blind and visually impaired to cope up with the world in their daily environment. Even though technology has increased tremendously there have not been specific and helpful gadgets or applications to assist them .In this paper we have put forward the idea of presenting an application which can extract and recognize the character from the image, which is clicked by the camera of an assistive device, which is a hand held object and produce an audio output. Thus it is an easily available and efficient system that will be able to extract and recognize each character independently and efficiently.

Kolorstone-Accurate colour detection tool[ ]


In a time where everything is going digital, right from an app to withdraw money or to purchase any household items it is a prime objective to increase the digitization of every activity so as to ease out the human work. The profession of people especially interior designers, architects, home decorators or artists involves a lot of heavy swatches which are to be carried from place to place. Furthermore, it is not feasible to record a colour at one place and reproduce the exact same colour with the exact properties at another place. "KolorStone" an app that will be linked with a hardware tool will eliminate such issues. The hardware tool is a sensor that, when pointed at any specific object, will eliminate every other sunlight that can possibly infiltrate and distort the actual colours on the object. The hardware tool will be programmed on an Arduino board and will be connected to the Android device using a Bluetooth module. The unadulterated colour that will be fetched by the hardware device will be given to the Android app which will first store the specifics of the colours the RGB code, CMYK code, HSL, HSI, HSV and HSB values in the database for any further use at any time needed. The app will further display the colour fetched by the device and will provide the corresponding shades that will begin from black (being the darkest shade of any colour) to white (being the lightest shade of any colour). The app will even provide a feature to compare any two colours and choose the one required by the end user. Thus, it will enable the designers to keep a track of the colours detected by them and eliminates the need of carrying different swatches and other heavy material since every piece of data will henceforth be collected by the app thereby making it more convenient for the end users and replace the old tradition with a digital one.

Light based Positioning and Communication System[ ]


The world is taking steady steps towards a moreefficient communication technique i.e Light Communication. By making this project, it is our first step into the era of light. This paper proposes implementation of VLC (Visible Light Communication) enhancing VLP(Visible Light Positioning).In this paper we devised a technique to track the user’s position and communicate with respect to the position and thedigitiza-tion of data (text and sound) through LabVIEW software and communicating it employing 230V AC LED Bulb and a Photo-receptor at the user end. For User Positioning, Laser is used as a light source and LDR is used as a receiver.The interfacing circuitary is implemented using VIRTUAL INSTRUMENTATION, reducing physical circuitary and size of system, making it extremely portable and easy to use.For Data Communications, we will be using polarizing films on 230V LED and Photo-receptor The user terminal will have a Photo-receptor supported by an Application in the User Device such as Mobile. The Graphical User Interface is present in the Lab-VIEW software that we used in this project.

However, all this features get updated on the latest android handset, causing consumers to buy new handsets for better features and better hardware upgrade. This prototypewill overcome all these problems and cause the user to upgrade theirhardware as well as software with a simple case. ‘Modular upgrade for mobile handsets’ is a case which will communicate with thehandset for additional hardware and software features.

Monitoring and Controlling of Green-house system[ ]


This paper deals with the design of monitor and control of ‘greenhouse’ system. It is being used for intelligence agriculture purpose which is installed in the farm, building terrace. The main objective of this project is to protect the plants from excessive water, temperature, humidity etc. It integrates and automates by turning ON or OFF all monitoring devices in the green-house. This is due to the MCU technology that can be easily modified and re-modified with portability. There is also an alarm circuit to call the attention of the Supervisor. This study focuses on determining the effectiveness of greenhouse control device.

PRODUCT ASPECT RANKING AND CLASSIFICATION[ ]


The experimental results the reviewcorpus of their domainsand demonstrates theeffectiveness of the proposed approach. Nowadays the growthof E-commerce has led to the invention of several websites that market and sell products and also allow users to post their individual reviews. It is typical for an online buyer to refer to these reviews and make their decision. Hence, automatic summarizations of users’ reviews havea great commercial significance. However, since the product reviews are written by non-expertsin an improper, natural language text, unstructured, the task of summarizing all of them is challenging. [3] This paper presents a semi supervised approaches for mining online user reviews to generate better feature-based statistical summaries that can guide a user in making an online purchase. It includes various phases like preprocessing and feature extraction and pruning followed by feature based opinion summarization and overall opinion sentiment classification and POS Tagging. Empirical studies indicate that the approach used in the paper can identify maximum opinionated sentences from blog reviews with a high average precision of 85% and can classify the variouspolarity of the reviews with a good average accuracy of 90%. [3]Numerous consumer reviewstheir product or services whichare availableon the Internet. Consumer reviews contain rich and valuable knowledge for both firms as well as users. However, the reviews are often disorganized, leading to difficulty ininformation navigation and knowledgeacquisition. The proposed system proposes aspect based on opinionmining, which automatically identify the important aspects from online consumer reviews, aiming at improving the usability ofthe various reviews. [1] In particular, given the consumer reviews, we first identifytheir productaspect and thendetermine consumer opinions based on that aspects via a sentiment classifier. Real Time Train Track Monitoring System[ ]


The project aims at detecting the railway track problems i.e. derailment of trains due problem in tracks. The project in-cludes the railway management system to avoid the accidents. Along with the track detection it has functions like controllingthe speed of train based on signals, informing the railway authorities about the problem. The PIC Microcontroller is the heart of the pro-ject. The IR sensor is used for detecting the crack in the railway tracks. Once the crack has been detected, railway authorities will be notified via SMS andalso the loco pilot of train within the coverage area which will further used to avoid accidents. The GPS issued to trace the location of the failure of railway tracks. The existing system is used as a vehicle to detect the problems in railway tracks vehicle which is not cost effective.

Secure Banking System Using QR Code[ ]


This work includes use of QR codes for improving the authentication process of banking website and makes it more secure. In a modern world where we are able to do almost everything online (banking, shopping, communicating, storing and sharing personal information...), it is nowadays a critical matter to be able to access these services in the most secured manner. Indeed, as viruses and cracking methods becomes more complex and powerful by the day, the available security techniques must improve as well, allowing users to protect their data and communications with the maximum confidence and trust. This system includes a QR code, an open source authentication system that uses a two-factor authentication by combining a Random number with the IMEI number of the mobile phone and generate a string which is hidden behind the QR code that needs to be scanned by a camera-equipped mobile phone scanner, acting as an authentication token. Our aim is to develop an authentication method for banking website using a two-factor authentication: a trusted device (a mobile phone) that will read a QR code that will act as a token, and a password known by the user.

Self Driving Trolley[ ]


These Navigating and controlling an autonomous vehicle is a major challenge faced today; This paper focuses on tackling the problemin a simplified manner. The approach focuses on minimalistic inputs namely images or video stream and distances from nearest obstacles. This paper deals with the classification of songs into pre defined categories on the basis of musical features extracted from the mp3 files by using echonest API. Features such as loudness, tempo and timbre are extracted and fed into a multi-layer feed-forward neural network for classification. The dataset used for training of the network is acquired from the freely available Million Song Dataset [2]. The neural network model uses error-back propagation to dynamically adjust weights during training process. It uses python dictionary function to store those weights within each neuron and later uses them for classification of test data

These spoken digits are then converted into wave formats. Then features of the recorded samples are extracted by training these signals using LPC. Learning is required whenever we don’t have the complete information about the input or output signal. At the input stage, 210 samples of each digits are applied, then through hidden layers these are passed to output layer. These networks are trained to perform tasks such as pattern recognition. Until today, most lecturers in universities are found still using the conventional methods of taking students’ attendance either by calling out the student names or by passing around an attendance sheet for students to sign confirming their presence. Therefore, a method of taking attendance by employing an application running on the Android platform is proposed. This application, once installed can be used to download the students list from a designated web server. Using the conventional method, the attendance will be marked in the app. The updated attendance list is then uploaded to an online database and can also be saved as a file to be transferred to a PC later on. This system will help to eliminate the current problems, while also promoting a paperless environment at the same time. Since this application can be deployed on lecturers own existing Android devices, no additional hardware cost is required. In addition to marking attendance and saving it onto the server, TEACHER'S AIDE application provides multiple additional features like generating defaulters list directly from the data stored on the server, viewing personalized time-table of each individual teacher, syllabus overview of every single subject and allocating marks to every student depending upon their attendance.
