Trust in Vehicle-to-Vehicle Communication[ ]


In traditional Pedestrian Automatic Emergency Braking (PAEB) system, vehicles equipped with onboard sensors such as radar, camera, and infrared detect pedestrians, alert the driver and/ or automatically take actions to prevent vehicle-pedestrian collision. In some situations, a vehicle may not be able to detect a pedestrian due to blind spots. Such a vehicle could benefit from the sensor data from neighboring vehicles in making such safety critical decisions. We propose a trust model for ensuring shared data are valid and trustworthy for use in making safety critical decisions. Simulation results of the proposed trust model show promise.

Optimization of Combined Economic Emission Dispatch Problem using Artificial Bee Colony Method[ ]


Optimal system operation, in general, involves the consideration of economy of operation, system security, emissions at fossil-fuel plants, optimal release of water at hydro power plants etc. and aim at improving the efficiency of the power system. In this research work, consideration will be given to two aspects of the optimal system operation, emissions and economy of operation, also known as economic dispatch. Generally the heuristic methods like Genetic algorithm, Simulated annealing, Particle Swarm Optimization, Ant Colony techniques and their various modifications have shown marked improvement in the addressing of the economic dispatch problem as well as the combined economic and emission dispatch problem. However there is scope of improvement of the solution to the combined economic and emission dispatch problems, in terms of better convergence, lower losses, faster computation times, reduced fuel costs and reduced emissions. It is worthy of notice that Artificial Bee Colony Method applied in the present work, yielded superior solutions than the heuristic and traditional optimization techniques.

I have monitored the IR ,Raman& electronic absorption spectra of the valine molecule in solid form.The IR spectra has been observed in the range 4000 -400 cm-1in the solid as well as liquid form. Similarly Raman spectra of the same molecule has also been monitored under the same range. The electronic absorption spectra has been monitored in the range 400-200 nm. In this paper we have made the several assignment of observed peaks. There are some new peaks has been found ,which were not reported by earlier workers .

This Research work deals with the supply chain management of tomato based food processing industries. An attempt has been made to ensure regular supply of raw material for the effective running of food processing industries even in the period when tomato is not available the alternative arrangements have been made to meet the demand. The main attention is given on the existing problems faced by the food processing industries and their rectification by suggesting latest technologies to increase the maximum yield of production by using minimum quantity of hybrid seed and by using minimum acres of land. The post-harvest losses which occur during production have been removed by suggesting suitable measures. The harvesting season of tomato and the sowing period of tomato along with the other fruits and vegetables have been given so that during the period of non-availability of tomato other fruits can also be processed and give the maximum output. Arrangements have been made to get the raw material at right price on right time, in right place, in right quantity, in right quality. As there is lot of wastages during physical distribution in transportation alternative suggestions have been made for reducing such losses occurring during transit by suggesting suitable packaging material from growers place to cold storage and from cold storage place to processing centre and then from processing centre to ultimate consumer. The important guidelines have been made for the development of prospective tomato entrepreneurs.

A STUDY OF PAPER PACKAGING INDUSTRY EMPLOYING SYSTEMS APPROACH[ ]


The project work deals with the Study of Paper Packaging Industry-Employing Systems Approach. In the project a study of Paper Industry has been made through survey of the related industrial consumers and manufacturers of the packaging materials. The problem faced by packaging material manufacturers during purchase of raw materials from different paper mills, agencies their cost factors, reliability the production schedule and the other related problems during production have been investigated. The problems related to packaging during distribution of products in cartons have been discussed. After studying the constraints models have been developed incorporating systems approach for minimizing constraints and trouble shootings. Thus envisaging cost effective packaging system. A case study for Packaging of Guava fruit was undertaken to evaluate the suitability of models developed during the research work.Model-1 was found to have scored 8 points on a suitability index scale ranging from 0 to 1 while model 2 and three scored 7 points and 5 points respectively.
