Experimental Investigation of the Flexural Behaviour of Concrete Beams Reinforced with Hybrid Bars (GFRP Bars with Steel Wires)[Full-Text ] Mamdouh Sayed Abdelbaqi, Mohaseb Ahmed Abozied, Mohamed Ahmed Saifeldeen, Hossameldeen Mohamed, Omar Ahmed Farghal, Abd El Rahman Megahid Ahmed Steel material is the most commonly used material to be used with concrete due to its well -performance. Nevertheless, environmental boundary conditions can lead to severe damage to steel bars due to the common corrosion effects. Aside from that, steel production alerts the environment in many different ways. All these reasons promote engineers to define a new eco-friendly alternative for steel to be used in reinforced concrete structures. Thus, the use of fibre reinforced polymer (FRP) as an alternative to the steel reinforcement became common research concern.

Microstrip reflect-array antenna using second iteration Murkowski-like radiating element[Full-Text ] Abubakar Sadiq Muhammad, Muhammad Danladi GarbaA new class of reflect array unit cell with increased phase-shift using single-layer second iteration Murkowski-like with triangles at the four corners of radiating element at frequency of 14GHz is proposed. The structure provides increased number of edges which con-tributes to increased reflection phase of the element. Using this method, the proposed structure was found to have wide phase-range of 393Ëš.A centre-fed reflect array antenna is designed and from simulation results, the structure is found to have low SLL -15dB, real-ized gain of 28dB, and overall efficiency of 94.85% at operating frequency 14GHz.

Brands Learning Their Meme A-B-C, Proposition for Meme Marketing as Part of a Brand Viral Marketing Communications[Full-Text ] Thanh Huong LeThe modern marketing communications mix has been experienced an ongoing integration with digital channels. Consumers show their tendency toward online platforms to communicate and consume products and services. Social media was one of those platforms which generates a new digital language and culture, including ‘Internet memes’. The viral nature of memes might make them intersect with the study of viral marketing. The purpose of this exploratory study is to review current literature of viral and online word-of-mouth marketing and formulate a proposition of Internet meme marketing nested within the field of marketing. After a review of word-of-mouth marketing, viral marketing, and the existing literature on Internet memes with real-life examples in which brands encountered memes were analyzed. From that analysis a number of lessons - propositions - were derived and summarized. The propositions of meme marketing need a further thorough empirical testing to prove the validity of its claims.

HOMOTOPY PERTURBATION METHOD FOR SOLVING HEAT TRANSFER ANALYSIS FOR SQUEEZING FLOW OF NANOFLUID IN PARALLEL DISKS[Full-Text ] MUSTAPHA R.A, SALAU A.MHeat transfer analysis for the magneto-hydro-dynamics (MHD) Squeezing flow of a viscous incompressible fluid between parallel manifolds is considered. The upper manifold is movable in upward and downward directions while the lower manifold is fixed but permeable. Variable similarity transformation were used to convert the conservation law equations into a system of nonlinear ordinary differential equations. The resulting system of nonlinear ordinary differential equation were solved by using Homotopy Perturbation Method (HPM). Influence of flow parameters is discussed and numerical solution is sought using Finite Difference Method (FDM). A convergent solution is obtained just after few number of iterations.
