A Survey of Different Attacks on MANET Emphasizing at Network Layer[ ]

Mobile Adhoc Network is one of the hottest topics of the research these days. To accomplish a secure MANET is a major concern. An ad hoc infrastructure of MANET presents new challenges in this field. A Mobile ad hoc network is said to be less defendable against Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, which can be vigorously commenced by a malicious attacker node. In this manuscript, we are going to review the impact of DoS flooding attack in Manet when the Ad hoc on demand distance vector routing (AODV) works on it as a source routing protocol. We will start from recollecting different security issues of MANET and later the discussion will be flown to the AODV DoS flooding attack.

Performance of CFRP Retrofitted RC frames subjected to Broad band excitation[ ]

Moderate and severe earthquakes have struck different places in the world, causing severe damage to reinforced concrete structures. Retrofitting the existing structures is one of the major challenges to face. One of the retrofit techniques of RC structural members is confinement with a composite enclosure. This external confinement of concrete by high strength Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer composites can significantly enhance the strength and ductility and will result in large energy absorption capacity of structural members. Beam-column joints, being the lateral and vertical load resisting members in framed RC structures are more vulnerable to failures during earthquakes and hence strengthening of the joints is often, the key to achieve successful seismic retrofit strategy[2].This paper depicts experimental investigations carried on RC frames subjected to broad band excitation, which are conducted to study the performance of wrapping on retrofit effects on it & the influence of Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer wrapping on aseismic performance of RC Frame. Wrapping is done externally at beam-column joints. For this purpose, a single bay three storied scaled down RC frame is subjected to dynamic loads under broadband excitation using servo-controlled hydraulic actuator, till model frame fails & this failed frame is strengthened by using Carbon Fibre Reinforced Polymer. The retrofit frame is subjected to the same intensity of dynamic excitation, till it fails. The uni-axial accelerometers is used at various storeys to quantify the absolute accelerations and the extent of its decay[1]. The above investigations conducted on the RC frame revealed the performance of the retrofit measure adopted as diagnostic alternates.

Cognitive Process of Identifying in Researching Concepts of Emotions: Neuronetwork Approach[ ]

The paper focuses on the methodological status of the structure of the image identification cognitive process in developing a neural network model of identifying verbalized concepts of emotions. There has been substantiated and explicated the euristic potential of the approach under consideration, whose basis is the elaboration of the analogy between the structures of the cognitive process of identifying concepts of emotions and the activity directed at developing the corresponding neural networks, which enhances perfecting the neural network model of the research object in terms of broadening the analogy between the model and the prototype.

The Role of Public Sector in Promoting Entrepreneurship: An Analytical Review of Pakistan’s Economy[ ]

The research focuses on the understanding of the role of public sector in catalyzing economic growth by promoting entrepreneurship in Pakistan. The concept of “Entrepreneurial Government” is emerging, in which public organizations/ institutions have to play an innovative role in nurturing entrepreneurs across the country. For this kind of entrepreneurship to thrive, governance is the key for it and can provide the right incentives to innovate financing instruments and business models to meet new challenges while putting accountability mechanisms in place to avoid the pitfalls of unconstrained power. The study will bring out more insight into the important aspects of economic development with a view to explore a causal relationship between nurturing of entrepreneurs and incubation of feasible indigenous environment through governmental policies including role of public sector institutions and business development centers in creating enabling environment and promoting entrepreneurship and innovation at the national level to bring about a change in the economic development of Pakistan.
