RFID Based Security System for Women[ ]


In recent years, acts of assault and violence against women are rising at a menacing rate. With escalation of female employees in industries and other sectors, it is now becoming a necessity for females to travel at late hours and visit distant and isolated locations as a part of their work regime. However, the exponential increase in assault, violence and attacks against women in the past few years, is posing a threat to the growth and development of women. Defence isn’t the only measure that can suffice against this increasing abuse. A security solution that creates a sense of safety among women needs to be devised. In instances of attack, it is largely reported that women are immobilized. There is thus, a need of simpler safety solution that can be activated as simply via RFID and GSM and can instantly send out alerts to the near ones and to family members of the victim.The system can be implemented in the form of a partial wearable and partial portable system, the information is passed to RFID reader which communicates with PIC microcontroller and through GSM the “help” message is sent to 2 predefined contacts(parents, police).

Artificial Intelligence is a branch of science, which deals with helping machines, finds solutions to complex problems in a more human like fashion. VISION BASED REMOTE CONTROL SYSTEM BY USING HAND GESTURE AND VOICE RECOGNITION[ ]


In the present situation voice recognition and hand gesture are couple of emerging trend used to many applications such as control based works like systematic control, voice dialing, simple data entry ,television control and so many of controlling applications .But most of the existing works accompanied with lot of real time problems first of all the power consumption is not considerable, and among them the voice recognition is vastly altered by dialects ,accent ,physical state of user ,surrounding atmosphere and so many of this like problems ,but also in case of security based applications it is easily hacked by imitation and recording voice of sound. In this proposed model the automatic user state recognition is introduced as a supporting trend for hybridized voice recognition and hand gesture system to manage home system such as television, air conditioner, refrigerator, fan, light and so on. To achieving power management , less power consumption ultra sonic sensor as the operating element of automatic user state recognition, and the voice recognition is functioning by speech attention IC HM2007and microcontroller PIC. So that in this scheme the existed problems and power consumption can be effectively reduced

OPTIMAL FEATURE SELECTION FOR POWER AWARE COMPUTING IN WEARABLE SENSOR NETWORKS[ ]


Recent technology advances have led to the development of different sensing, computing and communication capabilities that are becoming essential in our daily lives. A special case of this platform is wearable sensor networks whose computational elements are coupled with the body. There are a number of challenges in implementing this including high cost, less weight, power efficiency and battery life. Since they are battery operated and used for life-saving purposes, power efficiency is considered as most challenging. Previous studied revealed that the sensing, processing and data transmissions incur high energy expenditure. On-node processing was introduced which employed signal processing and machine learning techniques. Current technologies uses a vast set of features that are extracted from the sensor data for a specific application such as activity recognition where more power is consumed for data processing. Hence, this work focuses on reduced set of features that are optimal based on redundancy and relevance analysis. These features are determined prior to signal processing which reduces the processing time and hence the power consumption. It takes into consideration the energy cost of individual features that are calculated in real-time. A graph model is introduced to represent correlation and computing complexity of the features. The problem is formulated using integer programming and a greedy approximation ispresented to select the features in a power-efficient manner.

SMARTPHONE BASED CONTROL FOR HOME ENVIRONMENT[ ]


This paper presents a design and prototype implementation of new home automation system that uses Wi-Fi technology and GSM technology to control the appliances when user is present in the home or out of home and the second part is hardware interface module, which provides appropriate interface to sensors and devices of home automation system. This proposed scheme allows controlling n number of devices. This paper provides a good interface to control all the appliances through smartphone. Sensors make the automated environment for the home which provides more convenience for the user.In addition to all, theft detection is done through PIR sensor and if theft is detected message is given to owner through GSM. This proposed system is better in terms of scalability, flexibility and cost than the commercially available home automation systems.

AN IoT BASED SMART IRRIGATION SYSTEM[ ]


The Internet of Things(IoT) is transforming the agriculture industry and enabling farmers to content with enormous challenges they face. Livestock monitoring, conservation monitoring and plant & soil monitoring are the challenges where IoT can be a solution. The innovative IoT applications address the issues in agriculture and increase the quality, quantity, sustainability and cost effectiveness of agricultural production. Today’s large and local farms can leverage IoT to remotely monitor sensors that can detect soil moisture, crop growth and detect pest and control their smart connected harvesters and irrigation equipments.This project aims at monitoring the soil parameters like soil moisture, temperature and electrical conductivity and automates the irrigation process. Decision making is done through microcontroller. User is acknowledged about the field when there is any deviation from the expected values via text message. Along with soil parameters, plant pest detection is also included in this project. This ensures the complete system health.

SECURED WEB SERVICE FOR SMART HOME LED AND PROXIMITY CONTROL IN IoT[ ]


The Internet of Things(IoT), is the internetworking of physical devices, vehicles, buildings and other items-embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and network connectivity that enable these objects to collect and exchange data. Home automation refers to the control of home appliances and domestic features by local networking or by remote control. Artificial Intelligence provides the framework to go real-time decision and automation for Internet of Things (IoT).The Smart Home known as Home Automation, with the use of new technology, to make the domestic activities more comfortable.The proposed system is associated with the design and implementation of interoperability for sub-systems in smart home environment regardless of their level. A proximity sensor is able to detect the presence of nearby objects without any physical contact. A photoelectric sensor is an equipment used to discover the distance, absence, or presence of an object by using a light transmitter. The transmitter emits infrared rays which, when bounces off after hitting some object, are captured by the receiver. On the basis of the time taken by the rays to come back to sensor, one can determine how far or close is the object from the sensor. These sensors are mostly used in applications where short range detection.

SECURED WEB SERVICE FOR SMART HOME SAFETY IN IoT[ ]


The Internet of Things(IoT), is the internetworking of physical devices, vehicles, buildings and other items-embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and network connectivity that enable these objects to collect and exchange data Home automation refers to the control of home appliances and domestic features by local networking or by remote control. Artificial Intelligence provides us the framework to go real-time decision and automation for Internet of Things (IoT).The Smart Home known as Home Automation, with the use of new technology, to make the domestic activities more comfortable, convenient, secure and economical. The proposed system is associated with the design and implementation of interoperability for sub-systems in smart home environment regardless of their level. In this system user can able to control home appliances from web interface in addition to that temperature sensor and gas sensor were implemented to sense the surroundings. Temperature sensor senses the environment temperature; the sensed values can be used to turn on or off the electrical appliances. Gas sensor detects the leakage of hazardous gas emissions and activates the ventilation system. Thus the proposed system is implemented for enhancing the smart home safety.

VOTER AUTHENTICATION IN POLL BOOTH USING RASPBERRY PI[ ]


Progress in the area of face recognition has reached great heights in the recent years. Face recognition is considered to be one of the principal tasks in various potential applications like private security, surveillance systems, etc. This project focuses in authenticating the voters in the poll booth using face recognition technique, which is mainly based on image processing performed by Raspberry pi with Open CV library installed in it. Local Binary Pattern (LBP) algorithm is implemented for face recognition. The project clearly distinguishes between the authorised and unauthorised voter, thus contributing in the prevention of unfair voting practices.
