Unique Identification Through Colour Extraction (3D Model)[ ]

This proposal is about identifying baggage uniquely by its features and colors. We have seen a lot of identifications of a person by their facial features but we have never worked on identifying materialized objects which do not contain many unique features. So we are developing a product by which we will be able to take images of the target as input and then we will extract all the possible features and all the colors out of it. Then we will apply our model on some n number of videos and after the complete analysis, we will be able to tell that which video file that object (bag in our case) was detected.

Relation between Financial Inclusion and Poverty Reduction : A Study in Hooghly District of West Bengal[ ]

Financial inclusion appears to have become the principal development concerns of our times. This has been particularly evident during the past decade or so. The term ‘financial inclusion’ has acquired universal acceptance as both a mere access to financial services as well as deeper processes. The appropriateness of financial services, especially for poorer segments of the population has become a critical concern too. Introduction of the concept of financial inclusion has ushered a new phase of greater financialisation of economic life through a more generic expansion of financial markets. The microcredit revolution of the 1990s was a worthy precursor to this phase. The microfinance experience itself has undergone scrutiny for its contribution to the goals of development and empowerment. Making financial services available to the poor is no longer considered an altruistic proposition as financial inclusion. Engagement with the poor is now posed as a ‘win-win’ game.

A Model for Torsional Analysis of Lattice Towers under the action of Torque[ ]

Most towers or masts in practice are used as a more economic option for solid poles as greater heights are required in providing services such as supporting transmission equipments for radio stations, internet providers, wind turbines, telecommunication transceiver equipment and high-voltage electrical transmission. In this paper the torsional analysis of self-supporting lattice towers will be considered even though the methodology can be applied similarly in the analysis of masts. The failure or collapse of self-supporting lattice towers can be very devastating and result in service loss or down time as well as loss of valuable lives and properties which could most often happen without notice and in a flash. Proper analyses of such structures are therefore a requirement not an option.

Single-phase multilevel inverter topologies based IM Drive with self-voltage balancing capabilities[ ]

In this paper, a new single-phase multilevel inverter topology is proposed for induction motor speed control with a battery as a source. The battery voltage will be stepped up using the boost converter and provided to the multi-level inverter. A control circuit is used in order to control the dc voltage which in turn controls the motor speed. The proposed inverter provides 9 level ac output with less number of switches, capacitors, and dc voltage sources which leads to a reduction in cost and also size of the inverter. In this, the capacitor voltage can be balanced naturally using the switching sequence of the inverter without the aid of any capacitor voltage control strategy. The proposed system is simulated in MATLAB/Simulink software.

Predicting New Drugs for the Treatment of Chagas Diseases using Machine Learning and Docking[ ]

Chagas otherwise also known as as American trypanosomiasis is a hazardous disease caused by the protozoan parasite Trypanosomacruzi (T. cruzi). In today’s world, only two drugs are available for the treatment of this fatal disease. So, there is an urgent requirement of some medications that will going to protect people from this disease caused by T.cruzi. In this research paper, we have used the Machine Learning model on the basis of the C4.5 algorithm which has an accuracy of around 65%. This model predicts the drugs which could be used for the treatment of the Chagas disease. Around 280 drugs were predicted which included the available ones also. These drugs were docked for the validation of their accuracy and effectiveness using AutoDock 4.2 and visualized by PyMol software. Among all, we suggest that the Lomitapide (Drug Bank ID – DB08827) would be probably one of the most effective on the basis of the selected criterions. Hence, we could expect progressing the theoretically proved drugs to be soon at the investigational stages and then finally avail to the required patients of the Chagas Disease.

Response of Railway Steel Bridges to Rail and Wheel Defects[ ]

This paper aims to investigate the structural behaviour of railway steel bridges due to track defects, such as abnormal rail or wheel surfaces, rail corrugation, rail wear or breakage, as well as wheel flats. The dynamic models were established using the application of the finite element software ABAQUS to simulate the structure as a train-track-bridge (TTB) interaction model. Benha's railway steel-truss-bridge was used in this study. The part simulated of the bridge's superstructure consisted of 2 spans, in total lengths of 124.8 meters. The train runs through open deck floor (i.e., non-ballasted track). The track is fixed directly to the bridge stringers. The FEMs in the TTB category were established to study the effect of rail defects on the bridge’s elements response (acceleration and strains) and to predict the dynamic amplification factors. Results obtained from the TTB models, related to the simulation of track defects were compared against those mentioned in both Euro and UIC codes. The response for all defects inherent with the dynamic amplification increased by 10% and 20% for the cross girders and stringers, respectively. Defected Track had a significant effect on the bridge acceleration, displacement, and strains. FEM results exceeded the allowable limit proposed by the international codes.
