Use of EyeOS in Higher Education System for
Rural Area Students

Abstract— Now a day’s most of the WebOS (Web based operating system) at present introduce and offer virtual desktop environment. EyeOS is an open source web operating system which follows the concept of cloud computing. It contains applications like Word Processor, Address Book, PDF reader, and many more. In this paper we focus on, How EyeOS useful in Higher Education System for Rural Area’s Students? Today’s higher education system must require computer or laptops to store their data and run the application. But rural area’s student can’t afford such a types of issues. By using EyeOS don’t worry about all the things. If EyeOS concept adopt by higher education system, then rural area student get their own account provided by education system with free of cost. So no need to purchase computer system or laptop. Rural area student can access their own account by portable devices via, mobile gadget, smart- phone & tabs front end.

oday in market various operating system are available. Some of them desktop and web base. Desktop operating system has some limitation like the desktop environment can’t carry anywhere at any place. Because of application are platform dependents. By considering this drawback web based operating system are designed. Now a day’s various webs based operating system
available in markets like AstraNOS, Glide, G.ho.st, jooce,
YouOS, myGoya, EyeOS and Xindesk etc. EyeOS is one of them.
EyeOS is a web-based open source platform, designed to hold a
wide variety of web applications over it. The idea behind EyeOS is that the whole system lives in the web browser. It looks like a regular PC, but the "trick" is that it can be accessed from any- where, that you can’t do with desktop environment. This prob- lem is tackle by using EyeOS, so that desktop environment can be access through any handheld (front devices) only having the net connection. All you need is a web browser, Internet access and EyeOS is there for you, always, all the time.
Higher education system adopting modern teaching- learning aids to improve the education. These aids are not bounded with the books, they go beyond. Higher education
system implements their courses which based upon computer approach. Hence students must perform different assignments, projects, presentation of seminars and presentation of paper etc. with the help of computer or laptops.
In higher education system students belongs to rural
areas then they face different problems. These students thing about pay educational fees, educational accessories, shyness of behaviour, communication problem etc. So by considering these issues some challenges are enlisted related to rural areas stu- dents.
They can’t afford the educational accessories expendi- tures.
Lack of educational practices.
Can’t joint the world educational communities.
Can’t build up their self-assurance.
Students are enrolled their name in higher education, still they have to face some problem regarding like,
Higher education system adopting modern teaching- learning aids. So, rural area student having limited practices only in college. So, if they want to do the practices at the home, they can’t do. Hence they are lacking educational practices.
If the resources are not available they can’t do the educational practices. Hence they are not able to discuss their educational problem with other educational groups or com- munities. This impact is automatically seen on the result.

Because of all the above reasons this student are nega- tive of their mind. And they lose their confidence.
In this paper we incorporate proposed model for rural area student who face above educational problems.

This is major model in our proposed system because; this model is adopted by education system for improving growth of rural areas as well as other student. This model is implemented with the help of Web based EyeOS (Operating system). Because,
EyeOS is a web-based open source platform designed
to hold a wide variety of applications over it. It is platform in-
dependent so, user can open their account any handheld device
which having just internet connection.
It follows the concepts of cloud computing. Hence sharing of
data and resources are managed.
Using this model student’s account are created and
managed by server model. Student account validity up to their
educational period. After that it will destroyed.
This model store the information regarding, student data, edu-
cational data, notes, alerts or notices, examination works and
assignments etc.
By using EyeOS don’t worried about loss of data & crashing of system. Because data store at server side. Students no needs to carries secondary devices like CD, DVDs, Pen Drives, USB hard disk etc. for storing their data. By EyeOS no concern with loss of data. EyeOS is very chip regarding cost. Because it is open source and platform in depended.
This model used by students. In this model students having greater facility to access their own account at anywhere. It looks like a regular desktop operating system, but they can be accessed from anywhere. It is not mandatory to student must having a high configuration devices for open their accounts. Also not required specific type of operating system or applica- tion to run their accounts (machine independent environment provides).
Students can share their data and resources with their
friend, colleagues etc. Also if any important notice and alters
send to student with the help of this models. By this model stu-
dent store their personal or educational related data on self-
accounts without paying any cost. EyeOS web based account is provided by higher education system to student of their entire college life. Using this model student no need to purchase high configuration system. Economical problem is solved with this approach.
This paper has provided the proposed model of higher education system for rural area students. This proposed model is applied in higher education system then; rural area students build up the confidence to prove them. They don’t worry
about educational accessories expenditures and so on. This
system is economically low cost for accessing.
For the future work, we planned for additional educa-
tional application software is developing for student subject
practices. It is free of accessing for students. This concept is also applied in various sectors like Private, Government, Edu- cational, IT Industry, Medical, Pharmaceutical etc.
